Welcome to Mycareer Path ("we," "us," or "our"), a UAE-based career counseling firm. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our services, including but not limited to career counseling sessions, resume reviews, interview coaching, job search assistance, and our website (mycareerpath.com) (collectively, the "Services"). By engaging with our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms, which form a legally binding agreement between you ("you," "Client," or "User") and Mycareer Path.
Please read these Terms carefully. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use our Services. These Terms apply to all Users, including clients, prospective clients, website visitors, and job applicants.
1. Scope of Services
Mycareer Path provides professional career counseling and related services, which may include:
- One-on-one or group career counseling sessions (in-person, virtual, or via phone).
- Resume and cover letter reviews and drafting assistance.
- Interview preparation and coaching.
- Job search strategies and professional development advice.
- Other career-related services as agreed upon.
Our Services are advisory in nature and aim to support your career development. We do not guarantee specific outcomes, such as job placements, promotions, or achievement of career goals (see Section 7).
2. Eligibility
To use our Services, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old or have parental/legal guardian consent if under 18.
- Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information as requested.
- Comply with all applicable laws and these Terms.
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who does not meet these eligibility criteria or for any other lawful reason.
3. Booking and Payment
3.1 Booking
- Services are provided on a scheduled basis, subject to availability.
- You may book sessions through our website, email (info@mycareerpath.com), or other designated channels.
- You must provide accurate contact and payment information at the time of booking.
- We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule appointments if you fail to provide necessary information or comply with these Terms.
3.2 Payment
- Fees for Services are as specified at the time of booking or in your service agreement. All fees are in UAE Dirham (AED) unless otherwise stated.
- Payment is due in full at the time of booking or as agreed in writing.
- We accept payments via credit/debit cards, bank transfers, and other approved methods.
3.3 No-Refund Policy
- All payments for Services are non-refundable, regardless of whether you attend, complete, or are satisfied with the Services, except where required by UAE Consumer Protection Law (Federal Law No. 15 of 2020) or other applicable laws.
- If you cancel or fail to attend a scheduled session, no refunds or credits will be provided, though we may, at our sole discretion, offer to reschedule the session.
- This policy ensures we can maintain high-quality service delivery and allocate resources effectively.
4. Cancellations and Rescheduling
- By You: You may cancel or reschedule a session by contacting us at info@mycareerpath.com at least 48 hours before the scheduled session. No refunds will be issued, but we may offer to reschedule at our discretion.
- By Us: We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule sessions due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., counselor unavailability, technical issues). In such cases, we will notify you promptly and offer to reschedule or, if required by UAE law, provide a refund.
- Under UAE Consumer Protection Law, you may be entitled to a refund in specific cases, such as non-delivery of Services due to our fault. Any such claims must be submitted to info@mycareerpath.com within 7 days of the issue.
5. Recordings of Sessions
As part of our Services, we may record phone calls, virtual meetings, or in-person sessions for quality assurance, training, compliance, or to document agreed-upon career plans. By engaging in our Services, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
- Consent: We will obtain your explicit consent before recording any session. Consent will be requested at the start of the session or call, and you may decline without affecting your ability to receive Services.
- Purpose: Recordings are used solely for quality assurance, staff training, compliance with professional standards, or documenting career plans.
- Storage and Security: Recordings are stored securely with restricted access and encrypted to comply with UAE’s Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on Personal Data Protection (PDPL) and, if applicable, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
- Access and Deletion: You may request access to or deletion of recordings by contacting privacy@mycareerpath.com, subject to applicable laws.
- Non-Consented Recordings: If you do not consent to recordings, we will provide non-recorded session options.

6. Client Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate, complete, and truthful information during the booking process and counseling sessions.
- Attend scheduled sessions on time and comply with any preparatory requirements (e.g., submitting resumes or completing forms).
- Use our Services for lawful purposes only and refrain from sharing or uploading harmful, offensive, or illegal content.
- Respect the intellectual property and confidentiality of materials provided by Mycareer Path, such as templates, guides, or advice.
Failure to comply with these responsibilities may result in suspension or termination of Services without refund.
7. No Career Goal Achievement Guarantee
Mycareer Path provides professional guidance and support to help you achieve your career objectives. However, we do not guarantee specific outcomes, including but not limited to:
- Securing a job, internship, or promotion.
- Achieving specific career goals or milestones.
- Acceptance into educational programs or certifications.
- Any financial or professional success resulting from our Services.
Your success depends on various factors beyond our control, including your skills, effort, market conditions, and employer decisions. We disclaim any liability for outcomes related to your use of our Services.
8. Intellectual Property
All materials provided by Mycareer Path, including but not limited to templates, guides, worksheets, and session content, are owned by Mycareer Path or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. You may use these materials solely for your personal, non-commercial use in connection with our Services. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from these materials without our prior written consent.
9. Confidentiality
We treat your personal information and session content as confidential, subject to our Privacy Policy. You agree to maintain the confidentiality of any proprietary or sensitive information shared by Mycareer Path, such as methodologies or training materials.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by UAE law:
- Mycareer Path, its affiliates, employees, or agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our Services, including but not limited to loss of income, opportunities, or data.
- Our total liability for any claim related to the Services shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific Service giving rise to the claim.
- We are not liable for outcomes resulting from your reliance on our advice, as success depends on external factors beyond our control (see Section 7).
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Mycareer Path, its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, misuse of our Services, or violation of applicable laws.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to our Services at our sole discretion if you:
- Breach these Terms.
- Engage in unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful conduct.
- Fail to make required payments.
Upon termination, you will not receive refunds for any payments made, and you must cease using any materials provided by Mycareer Path.
13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, specifically the laws of the Emirate of Dubai. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through:
- Negotiation: You and Mycareer Path will attempt to resolve disputes amicably through good-faith negotiations.
- Arbitration: If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Dubai under the rules of the Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC). The arbitration shall be conducted in English, and the arbitrator’s decision shall be final.
For EU/EEA clients, you may have additional rights to pursue disputes through EU supervisory authorities or courts, as outlined in our Privacy Policy.
14. Compliance with Laws
We comply with UAE laws, including the UAE Consumer Protection Law (Federal Law No. 15 of 2020) and Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on Personal Data Protection (PDPL). If we process personal data of EU/EEA residents, we also comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You agree to comply with all applicable laws when using our Services.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Updates will be posted on our website, and we will notify you of significant changes via email or other means. Your continued use of our Services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
